Japanese phrases and good words to know in Japan

When you're traveling in Japan, it's nice to know a few phrases and words so you can get by. At the same time, the Japanese appreciate it very much and will tell you that you are almost fluent in Japanese if you know these ;-)

• Konnichi wa : Good day
• Konban wa : Good evening
• Oyasumi nasai : Good night
• Arigatō : Thank you
• Sumi masen : Excuse me or excuse me (if you bump into someone)
• Onegai Shimasu : Please
• Hai and iie : Yes and no
