Kokeshi dolls

Kokeshi dolls are traditional Japanese wooden dolls, known for their simple shapes, fine hand-painted details and serene expressions. Originally from northern Japan , they are created as small handicrafts, with each doll telling its own silent story.

This collection consists of a very limited selection of authentic kokeshi dolls, all hand-turned and painted by Japanese artisans. Each doll is unique with its own expression, color choice and personality – no two are alike, and only one of each exists.

We have selected the dolls with great care and love for both the craftsmanship and the simple, timeless expression. The Kokeshi dolls can stand alone as small art objects, be part of a collection or given as a special and personal gift. Once a doll is sold, it is gone – and that is exactly what makes each one so special.
