#A14 Dedicated to Jean Dubuffet (art print)
‘Dedicated to Jean Dubuffet’
The motif was created by the Japanese artist Kozaburo Yoshikawa, who found great inspiration in European artists such as Gauguin, Warhol, Picasso and Basquiat.
When Kozaburo passed away in 1998, the entire collection was sent from Nara in Japan to Denmark, where the works have been stored for many years.
At Seramikku, we are humbled to have been allowed to share a selection of these works as art prints.
The art print comes with a frame and passepartout – you insert the print yourself.
If you pick it up in our store, the art print can be delivered ready-framed.
Delivery time is approx. 1-2 weeks.

THE STORY BEHIND
KOZABURO Yoshikawa

NARA, JAPAN
The story begins in Nara, Japan. As an artist, he drew inspiration from the world far away. He studied the works of European artists such as Picasso, Basquiat, Warhol, and Gauguin, and traces of the first two are particularly evident in his characteristic line work and colorful universe.

ONE SPECIAL WISH
Throughout his life, he created illustrations and artworks with a rare energy and personality. When Kozaburo passed away in 1998, his mother had a special wish. She hoped that one day his art could live on in Europe, which had inspired him so deeply throughout his life.

A new chapter
Therefore, his works were carefully packed and sent from Nara to Denmark. And there are many. So many that over the years the family has agreed that some of the works deserve to find new homes, where they can be hung up, admired, and lived with in everyday life.

ART HISTORY
Each artwork is therefore more than an illustration. It is a small piece of a life story. A connection between Japan and Europe. And a story that continues with the next person who gives the artwork a place on the wall.

HONORABLE TASK
We at Seramikku have been given the opportunity to help with this task. We do so with great respect for the history, for the family, and for the artistic legacy that has traveled all the way from Japan to Denmark.

About Seramikku
A PIECE OF JAPAN BROUGHT TO DENMARK
At Seramikku, you will find hand-picked Japanese functional art in unique and limited quantities.
The brand was born out of our interest in bringing together Japanese and Scandinavian styles and bringing a piece of Japan into Danish homes. We want to make the Japandi style accessible and inspiring for you by offering unique Japanese items that fit into the Scandinavian interior and food culture.
We noticed that others also found the combination of Danish and Japanese completely unique, and that is where the idea to start Seramikku came from.
