Ukiyo-e is a term for an old Japanese craft from the 17th century, where works were created through woodcuts.
Directly translated, ukiyo-e means ' pictures of the floating world ', and nature scenes, kabuki actors, sumo wrestlers, erotic motifs, geishas, and city life were popular to portray.
