Sekiun Pendant

The Sekiun pendant is inspired by the Japanese word for cumulus clouds and carries a lightness in its expression that almost feels as if it is floating in the room.

The lampshade is constructed from two layers of specially treated Japanese washi paper, which is shaped and arranged in soft, staggered layers. The asymmetrical shape gives the lamp a vibrant expression that changes depending on the angle and placement.

The light is gently filtered through the paper, creating a soft, diffused illumination. At the same time, warm shadows are cast across the surface, creating a calm and sensory atmosphere in the room – like light breaking through clouds.

Suitable above the dining table, in a corner of the living room, or as a sculptural pendant in a calm environment. Can hang alone or be combined in multiples to create a harmonious and rhythmic whole.

What is Japandi?

Japanese interiors are as popular as ever - and for good reason. The Japanese style has many features in common with the Scandinavian style.

Japandi is used for the style where elements from Japanese and Scandinavian design are combined. Here, the focus is on simplicity and good craftsmanship. The use of light wood, natural materials, calm colors and design is where the two styles especially meet and unite.

For us personally, the fusion between the Japanese and the Scandinavian consists in combining the things that we love most about the two worlds: good craftsmanship, minimalism, colors and calm.
