Gyūto (牛刀) means "meat sword" in Japanese and corresponds to a traditional chef's knife. The knife is versatile and can be used for both meat, fish and vegetables.

The long blade of the knife does the work for one, when cutting in soft movements. It has a beautiful, ergonomic wooden handle, which is very comfortable in the hand.

The knives are made of 17 layers of hammered, damascused VG10 steel and are rated 60-62 HRC (Rockwell hardness scale).
